Mixing 20th
century influenced jazz & fusion with electronic dance music, keyboardist
& bandleader Jonny Liebeck has crafted a sound that
captures the zeitgeist of this moment. A graduate of the Royal Academy of Music
& Trinity Laban, he’s had gigs all over London, performing at London venues
including the Southbank Centre (Purcell Room), Royal Albert Hall, Pizza
Express, Toulouse Lautrec, Rich Mix, 91 Living Room & many more, as well as
playing alongside Cuban Jazz legend Omar Puente & Soul legend Mica Paris.
Joining
Jonny on the stand are four outstanding musicians who have played with
Questlove, Mark Ronson, Jamie Cullum, Grace Jones & more and are acclaimed
in their own right: Donovan Haffner-sax, Ezekiel Ajie-bass, Owen
Snider-guitar & Andrew McLean-drums. The quintet will
be performing new work, as well as some tunes from previous albums/EP's
'Influences', 'The Next Chapter' & 'Mellow Mind'.
Expect a
fusion of soulful jazz harmony, luscious sound textures, lyrical guitar and sax
melodies, groovy basslines, and intricate breakbeats to get you up on your
feet. This is jazz with at least one foot on the dancefloor…
